About us
What drives us
HUVI.SWISS develops autonomous, AI based systems for early wildfire detection. Our goal is to protect forests, communities and critical infrastructure by detecting smoke and emerging wildfires at their earliest stages. Our technology combines camera systems with edge AI, classical image analysis, energy autonomy and reliable data transmission into a fully autonomous early warning system that operates reliably even in remote areas without existing infrastructure.

Partnerships and funding
In June 2025, HUVI.SWISS received a positive evaluation in the Innosuisse Innocheck programme, in collaboration with Switzerland Innovation Park Biel Bienne (SIPBB). Since December 2025, this collaboration has been extended through Zürcher Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften (ZHAW). This funding supports the development of our autonomous wildfire early warning systems and forms the basis for hardware prototypes and research partnerships.
Our story
HUVI.SWISS emerged from a long standing collaboration between Christian Huber and Patrick Villiger. What began as a technically demanding project evolved into a clear vision: wildfire detection that works everywhere – energy autonomous, reliable and scalable. The company was founded in 2025 and is headquartered in Kölliken, Switzerland.

Our ambition
We combine scientific precision, robust hardware and sustainable energy supply into a solution that has local impact and global scalability – a Swiss technology for reliable wildfire detection, developed for regions without infrastructure.

Projects

Field test Q3 2025
First field test of our autonomous, AI based wildfire early warning system. The HUVI.GUARDIAN prototype validates energy autonomy, data transmission and smoke detection under real world conditions and forms the foundation for future scaling.

News

HUVI.GUARDIAN Prototype 1.1 reaches new milestone
17 March 2026
The new version of our autonomous early detection system HUVI.GUARDIAN is ready for extended field testing. For the first time, artificial intelligence is executed directly on the system, supported by an energy efficient HAILO AI module. Combined with optimised sensor technology and classical computer vision, this enables earlier and more robust smoke detection at distances of up to 10 km.

HUVI.FIREWATCH version 0.1 ready for initial tests
08 January 2026
The first beta version of our monitoring platform HUVI.FIREWATCH is now online. It supports wildfire early detection with login and role management, live tower information, a map module as well as alert notifications with escalation levels and SMS alerts. Initial tests with internal users and pilot partners are already underway.

HUVI.SWISS presents at the Business Angels Pitchday
16 October 2025
At the Pitchday of the Business Angels Club Aargau, we presented our vision of AI based wildfire detection. Our system detects emerging fires in under 60 seconds thanks to energy autonomous edge AI directly in the field. The discussions confirmed strong interest in Switzerland for autonomous early warning systems.

Join us

Wildfires are among the most serious global risks today. They destroy ecosystems, endanger communities and cause significant economic damage. At the same time, vulnerability is increasing year after year due to climate extremes. Early detection is considered one of the most effective measures, yet reliable wildfire early detection is still lacking in many regions worldwide.

We are looking for investors and strategic partners who recognise this urgency and want to leverage the potential of a globally deployable solution. Together, we aim to build an internationally scalable early warning platform that protects communities and natural habitats while creating sustainable economic value. Our technology brings together robust hardware, advanced algorithms and a well designed system architecture into a solution that is both ecologically and economically compelling.

HUVI.SWISS develops a fully autonomous platform for AI based wildfire detection. Our system combines edge AI, advanced camera surveillance and energy autonomous infrastructure, enabling reliable detection without networks or central power supply. This allows us to address a rapidly growing market for autonomous early warning systems, where prevention, ecological resilience and technological scalability are becoming increasingly important.

HUVI.SWISS operates at the intersection of climate protection, technology and autonomous wildfire early detection. If you would like to contribute to the further development of a critical future technology and take responsibility for a safer and more resilient world, we look forward to hearing from you.

FAQ
HUVI.SWISS develops autonomous, AI based early warning systems for wildfire early detection. Our technology detects smoke and emerging wildfires at a very early stage, enabling a rapid response before a fire spreads on a large scale.
Unlike conventional camera systems, satellite data or cloud based solutions, HUVI.SWISS operates fully autonomously and analyses image data on site using edge AI. This makes the system independent of the power grid, mobile networks or cloud infrastructure and particularly, but not only, suitable for remote regions.
The HUVI.SWISS system typically detects smoke development in under 60 seconds after visible smoke patterns appear. Local AI verification reduces false alarms and ensures that only relevant events are forwarded.
Yes. The HUVI.SWISS system is designed for continuous 24/7 operation and monitors its environment continuously, regardless of time of day or infrastructure. HUVI.GUARDIAN units operate fully autonomously and remain permanently ready for deployment.
No. HUVI.GUARDIAN is designed to operate fully off grid. Power is supplied via solar panels and battery storage, optionally complemented by wind energy. Alerts are transmitted via satellite communication, enabling operation even without existing infrastructure.
A single HUVI.GUARDIAN unit can monitor an area of more than 300 square kilometres, depending on topography and site location. Multiple units can be combined into a scalable monitoring network.
Once smoke detection is confirmed, the system automatically triggers an alert. It includes GPS position, a timestamp and image data, and can be reviewed via HUVI.FIREWATCH and forwarded via web dashboard, API or SMS to command centres, authorities or infrastructure operators. Alerting and escalation can be configured per site, enabling responders to act quickly and precisely.
Yes. The HUVI.SWISS system is modular and can be flexibly adapted to different requirements and deployment locations. The monitoring unit, power supply and system configuration can be scaled accordingly, from partial monitoring of individual zones to large scale applications. Alternative energy sources or extended solar capacity are also possible, making the system suitable for both simple and complex deployment scenarios.
HUVI.SWISS is designed for public authorities, forestry organisations, energy utilities, infrastructure operators as well as large landowners such as plantation operators or agricultural businesses with elevated wildfire risk. The system is particularly suitable for regions where conventional monitoring solutions reach their limits. In general, HUVI.SWISS is suitable for any organisation or owner that wants to protect forest areas, infrastructure or critical zones early and reliably.
